Katie joined BT in 2004 after graduating from the Business School at the University of Strathclyde and joined Openreach in 2009. As Chief Commercial Officer, she and her team are responsible for products, propositions and services, plus managing relationships with key stakeholders.  Previously a commercial director, Katie was appointed as Chair of the Openreach Scotland Board in 2021 and grew her commercial unit to include Openreach NI, which is responsible for end-to-end delivery of products and services across Northern Ireland. In 2023 she was appointed Chief Commercial Officer and incorporated the Infrastructure Development team, which manages partnerships with councils and new site developments, and with government on programmes such as BDUK and R100. And in 2024, Katie’s remit expanded further to include the Corporate Affairs unit, comprising Strategic Communications, External Affairs and Policy, and Sustainability.
