Investors Committee Appoints New Acting Chair and Sets Ambitious Agenda for 2026

The Investors Committee has appointed Joeri Van Bogaert (Deutsche GigaNetz GmbH) as acting Chair, serving until the Spring General Assembly 2026. The Committee encourages FTTH Council Europe members to actively support its work, reinforcing the importance of a strong and aligned investment narrative for the fibre sector.

Looking ahead to H1 2026, the Committee will focus on finalising a refreshed Investment Narrative for fibre, building on workshops held in Q4 2025 in London and Frankfurt. This effort will progress through a draft white paper, supported by a member survey and follow-up discussions to gather broad industry input.

A key milestone will be an Investors Committee workshop at the FTTH Conference in London, focusing on the agreed Investment Narrative and potential solutions to unlock investment, including government guarantees, investment vouchers, copper switch-off, and improved harmonisation and efficiency in permitting and construction procedures.

The Committee will also develop its 2026–2027 working plan, incorporating insights from the London workshop and questionnaire results, while strengthening collaboration with member companies and external partners. In addition, an external workshop in Germany is planned, in cooperation with BREKO, BUGLAS, VATM, and the Policy and Regulation Committee, to address the German investment climate and engage with government stakeholders.
