Sustainability Committee Advances FTTH Eco Platform Insights Amid EU Reporting Updates

The Sustainability Committee continues to drive progress on the FTTH Eco Platform, which collected participant data until the end of 2025. Calculations and analyses are now underway, with results to be shared later in 2026. These insights will allow participants to understand the sector’s carbon footprint and benchmark their own organizations against the industry average, supporting sustainable practices across the FTTH ecosystem.

In parallel, the European Parliament has reached a preliminary agreement to relax certain requirements under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The most notable change is that mandatory sustainability reporting will now apply only to large companies with more than 1,000 employees and net revenues exceeding €450 million. The exact timeline for official adoption of these amendments remains uncertain.

The Committee continues to monitor these developments closely, ensuring that FTTH sector participants remain informed, compliant, and able to leverage the FTTH Eco Platform insights to drive environmental responsibility, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability across their organizations.
