The data from September 2024 shows that 29 countries have achieved penetration rates higher than 50% (+8 countries compared to September 2023). The UAE leads the ranking with 99,5%, while South Korea positions itself second at 96,6%. China (93,6%), Barbados (91,4%) and Hong Kong (89,9%) complete the top 5 positions.
In the European region, the report observes a new leader topping the FTTH/B penetration ranking, as Portugal is now the country with the highest penetration rate (81,9%), surpassing Iceland (81,6%) and Spain (80,8%) which previously has had the primate.
