In the context of the federal government's broadband infrastructure goals (Digital Strategy 2025), interdependencies and synergies between the roll-out concepts of 5G network operators and the general fibre roll-out program are of particular interest. To this end, our President Eric Festraets was invited to shed lights on the latest evolutions of the FTTH/B European market, with particular focus on the German rollout, taking stock of the latest market reports recently revealed by the FTTH Council Europe at the FTTH Conference 2022 in Vienna.
