Achieving Europe’s digital decade targets depends on universal access to high-quality, high-capacity connectivity, and fibre is at the heart of this ambition. In this keynote, Kamila Kloc shared the European Union’s strategic vision for building a competitive, sustainable, and digitally sovereign Europe through accelerated FTTH deployment. The speech addressed key EU policy initiatives, funding instruments, and regulatory frameworks supporting fibre rollout across the CEE region. It also highlighted the role of fibre in enabling critical objectives such as the green transition, digital inclusion, and economic resilience. Attendees gained a clear view of Europe’s collaborative approach to bridging connectivity gaps and fostering innovation, underscoring the importance of joint action among Member States, industry, and institutions.
